Obituary of Orlow McFerson Brown
CLEARFIELD - Orlow McFerson Brown, 76, of 987 South State, died Wednesday (May 7, 1969), of natural causes at the home of a daughter in Bountiful.
Mr. Brown was born December 22, 1892 in Kaysville, a son of Francis A. and Dolly McFerson Brown.
He was married to Ida Walker on March 11, 1923 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized at the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Ida died March 11, 1966 [at Clearfield, Davis, Utah].
Orlow was a retired employee of Hill Air Force Base, and formerly worked at the Ogden Arsenal and Layton Sugar Company.
Orlow was an active member of the Clearfield 2nd LDS Ward and was a high priest in the Clearfield Stake. During World War I he served on the Army.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Keith Clyde Brown, Mack Walker Brown, both of Clearfield; Ben Brown, Roy, Utah; Mrs. Dean (Carol) Compton, Brigham City, Utah; Mrs. Kenneth (Joan) Dearden, Bountiful, Utah; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Frank Brown, Mrs. Joseph (Fannie) Clark, both of Clearfield, Utah; Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Salt Lake City,
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Clearfield Stake Center with Bishop Merrill Clark officiating.
Friends may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 340 North Main, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Burial in the Clearfield City Cemetery
