Polly Ann Brown is the daughter of Captain James Brown and Mary McRee Black Brown. She was born in Ogden, Weber, Utah on the 5th of May 1852.
When Polly Ann was about nineteen years old she married a railroad man named Edward Edwards, a mild, gentle Welshman.

Mary Edwards, born in Ogden 1870. She married Leonard Pope.
Margaret Edwards, born in Ogden 1872. She married Mr. Jones.
James Edwards, born in Ogden 1874. He married Alice
William Edwards, born in 1876, unmarried.
Polly Ann divorced her husband Edward Edwards. He married again and reared their children.
Polly Ann married again, to Thomas Leonard, by whom she had four children.

The first two never married and died while just in their twenties. Vera and John married and reared families and made their home in Montana.
Thomas Leonard, a brick layer, was a devout Irish Catholic and Polly joined the Catholic Church, not because she really believed in its doctrines but she felt that it would be better to belong to the same church with her husband.
Polly Ann died about 1930 in Anacona, Montana where she and her husband and children lived..
