Otis Pratt Brown was born on September 6, 1907 at Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico to Eliza Skousen Brown and Orson Pratt Brown.
Otis married Verda Mae Humphries on January 3, 1925. They later divorced. They had one child: Ray Emerson Brown born January 23, 1925 in Hinckley, Millard County, Utah. Ray married Beth Maurine Moody on May 1, 1948 in Deseret, Millard, Utah and had five [six] children. Verda died January 29, 1984.
"On January 4, 1965 Ray Emerson Brown, who in 1948 married Beth M. Moody, they now [1973] have six children, was elected Mayor of Hinckley,Utah. Mr. Brown is a descendent of the famous Orson P. "In 1968, Mayor Ray E. Brown directed the drilling of a deep well which produced suffiicient water for a community of over 100 families. Such a modern water supply put Hinckley on the map. The "grapes of wrath" were visibly manifest in 1968. Utahns were vexed by four problems: Vietnam, the Colorado River controversy, the state-wide strike, and liquor enforcement." Ibid, Page 103.

At the publication of Stout's book in 1973 Ray E. Brown was still serving as Mayor of Hinckley. "Beth M. Moody Brown was Postmistress of Hinckley from September 30, 1961 to 1963."

Otis married his second wife Maude Mabel Anderson on June 15 1930 in Phoenix, AZ. They divorced sometime around 1943 just before their fifth child was born. Maude died June 28, 1991.
Otis Pratt Brown and Maude Mabel Anderson Brown had five children.
1- Betty Ann Brown born April 28, 1931 in Gilbert, Maricopa, Arizona. Betty married Stuart Walter Sorenson on December 24, 1949 and had four children.
2- Son born in 1933
3- Modene Brown was born on November 18, 1936 in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona. Modene married Merrill G. Gayman on January 14, 1956, they later divorced. Modene and Merrill had five children: Cheryle Jean, Karla Alyse, Leland Earl, Deirdre Sue, Stacey Lynn.
4- James Orson Brown was born January 29, 1940 in Mesa, Arizona. He married Sharon Johnson. They had seven children: James Orson Jr., Debbie, Teri, Celeste, Shawn Christopher, Ruth Naomi, and Elijah James Jarred Brown.
5- Daughter born in 1943
Otis Pratt Brown then married his third wife, Helen Martin on April 18, 1943. It is unknown by this author whether Helen and Otis had any children. Helen died February 4, 1995 in Mesa.
Otis Pratt Brown died on April 17, 1987 in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona.
August 25, 2005: From Pepper Kimmell: I was raised by Otis. He is my step grandad and I would like to find his daughter Betty Ann Sorenson to see if she would like to exchange family pictures.
