Orvel or Orville Morgan Allen, was the son of, John Edmonds Allen and Pamela (Parry)Allen.
His first wife was Jane Wilson Allen, their children were: Eliza Ann, Elizabeth Catherine, Mary Jane, Sarah Lucinda, Antoinette Morgan, Alma Hyrum, James Chandler, and Laura Josephine Allen.
His second wife was Elizabeth Ann "Bessyanna" Burkett Allen.
Their children were:John Matthew Johnson Allen, Amanda Alizina Allen, Eleanor Ann Allen, Rosina Allen, Elizabeth Ann Allen, Samuel Edmonds Allen.
His third wife was Susannah Ward Allen, they had a daughter named Mary Josephine Allen (1849-1913). She married Joseph Smith Wing on December 17, 1864 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
His fourth wife was Isabella Watson Allen, they had no children, he remarried Susannah.
He lived the rest of his life with Elizabeth and her son, George William Washington Williams in Pima, Arizona.
O.M. Allen, was one of Joseph Smith's Body Guards, and helped to build the Nauvoo Temple. Brigham Young asked him to lead a large group of Mormans out of Nauvoo, Illinios, to safety at Council Bluffs, on the Missouri River. He was given a Patriarchal Blessing by Hyrum Smith, wherein he was promised, among other things that his name would be honored by his children and perpetuated from generation to generation, Forever. He was given a certificate recommending him to the Office of Seventy.
