Land Purchased From:

George M. Brown purchased 73,000 acres from Lewis Huller but due to his insolvency the contracts became invalid.

The land near Casas Grandes did eventually become Colonia Dublán.

 

Located: 17 miles south from Colonia Juárez up into the Sierra Madre foothills; and perhaps 95 miles south of Ciudad Juárez.

Brigham H. Stowell was shot by Mexican rebels while irrigating his alfalfa field at Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico.]

Anson B. Call was seized by red flaggers at Colonia Dublán and requested to pay $2,000 as a ransom for himself. He was kept a prisoner for several days and threatened with death. At last he bought his release with $200
