William Louis Brown is the son of John Martin Brown I and Almeda Wilson Daley Brown Standley. William was born on September 1, 1869 in the family town of West Wilson, Weber County, Utah. He is the 4th of nine children.
William Louis Brown Sr. married Nellie Ward , daughter of Seymour Ward and Louisa Jane Ward, on November 3, 1888, either on Wilson Lane or in Ogden, Weber, Utah. Nellie is the daughter of Louisa Ward, half-sister of Adelaide Exervia Brown.
William and Nellie had eight children: William Louis Brown Jr.; Lillie Almeda Brown (md. Earl Stanger); Albert F. Brown; James D. Brown; Eva Pearl Brown; Elsie Brown (md. Betincourt); Roland Spencer Brown; Neola Grace Brown.
