Claudius Bowman was born on March 8, 1913 in El Paso, El Paso, Texas at the Arizona Street home of his grandparents, Sam and Minnie Robinson, to Claudius Bowman I and Jennie Stark Robinson Bowman. (On church records Claudious Bowman's name is spelled with an "o" but he preferred "Claudius" and that is how he is listed on the Social Security Death Index.)
Claudius Bowman married Nelle Loriene Taylor, daughter of Loren Leroy Taylor (son of Ernest Leander Taylor and Johanne Marie Hannah Skousen) and Flora Hermosa Macdonald (daughter of Alexander Findlay Macdonald and Fannie Van Cott), on 18th of September 1941 in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona.
Claudius and Nelle Taylor Bowman had five children:
1- Claudius III Bowman
2- Jennie Loriene Bowman
3- Flora Eileen Bowman
4- Roberta Bowman
5- Conrad Leroy Bowman
